The Medical System is Broken

There was a recent article talking about how when hospitals buy a private practice, that private practice is now a hospital-based practice and is allowed to charge 8, 10, 12 times what they used to charge for the exact same service, and that the insurance companies go along with this. This is a profit-driven system. There is a reason that you see commercials on television for hospitals constantly. The reason is because they want you to come into their system so that they can earn a profit. How does that interact with medical malpractice? Because a lot of what we see is about the profit.
