Rankings Recognize James Duffy, Jim Wilkens, and David Pollack

Uniondale, NY, August 24, 2009 - The 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, a national survey and evaluation of lawyers by lawyers, recognizes three litigators from Long Island-based medical malpractice firm Duffy & Duffy. The firm's founder, James Duffy, as well as Jim Wilkens, one of the most highly regarded medical malpractice trial litigators in the country, and David Pollack were all recognized in the rankings. Senior trial partner James Duffy has been listed by Best Lawyers for more than ten years.

"Duffy & Duffy's entire team of seasoned medical malpractice lawyers help fulfill our mission of advocating patient safety by ensuring victims of malpractice are compensated fairly when wronged," said Michael E. Duffy, co-founder and managing partner. "This recognition confirms the genuine passion that my father, James, Jim, and David bring to every case we handle."

First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive annual peer-review survey. For the new U.S. edition, more than 24,126 leading attorneys cast more than 2.8 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in the same and related specialties.

Because of the transparent methodology used by Best Lawyers, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
